Please see below information about the drive day organised for the 23 September.
All up this represents about 260 kms of driving from door to door,
depending on where you are coming from
and how you get to Fernvale and home from Mt Mee.
The route includes some freeway driving (if using the Warrego to get to Fernvale),
nice fast sweepers on the Brisbane Valley Hwy and D’Aguilar Hwy,
and some tight windy stuff on the Somerset and Mt Mee Rds.
You and your GT40s will be smiling at the end of the day.
Lunch will be taken at The Place 2 B at midday. Please rsvp so I can book a table.

Sunday 23 September
GT40 drive day – Lunch run to Mt Mee via the Brisbane Valley Hwy and Kilcoy

09h30 - Rendezvous Old Fernvale Cafe Bakery, Brisbane Valley Hwy.
Parking in the street.
If you don’t need the coffee and cake on your hips then only have a short macchiato
or arrive later just in time for departure.
10h15 – Depart Fernvale. Travel north along Brisbane Valley Hwy.
10h22 (7 kms from Fernvale) – Turn right onto Wivenhoe Somerset Dam Rd.
Continue along Wivenhoe Somerset Rd until you reach the D’Aguilar Hwy (State Route 85).
11h11 (66 kms from leaving Brisbane Valley Hwy) – Turn right onto D’Aguilar Hwy.
Continue along D’Aguilar Hwy through Kilcoy to junction with State route 58
and Tourist Drive route 29, signposted to Mt Mee.
11h42 (24 km from turning onto D’Aguilar Hwy) –Turn right onto Mt Mee Rd.
12h00 (1 km from leaving D’Aguilar Hwy) – Continue along Mt Mee Rd to The Place 2 B, Delaney’s Creek.
Stop at The Place 2 B, Delaney’s Creek.
The Place 2 B serve light lunches – burgers, frittata, salads etc

Depart and head home at your leisure by continuing south along Mt Mee Rd to Dayboro Rd
and then to northern suburbs via Dayboro Rd or elsewhere via Mt Samson Rd to Samford and onwards.
